Miss Catherine Ellen Harder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Harder of Livonia, was married to Pfc. John Thomas Bratcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bratcher of Rochester, at the Baptist Church of Portsmouth, Va., on Oct. 9, 1959. The Rev. E. F. Chauney officiated at the candle light ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Livonia Central School and plans to attend the Harper Beauty School in January. Pfc. Bratcher is now serving in the U. S. Marine Corps.

John Thomas Bratcher, 49, of 420 Buffalo formerly of Conesus died Sunday August 7, at the Buffalo Veterans Hospital after a long illness.

He was born on December 20, 1939 the son of Clarence and Ruby (House) Bratcher in Warsaw NY.

He was employed as a foreman for Rochester Products. John was a veteran of the Marines.

He is survived by 2 sons, Randy T. of Hemlock, Eric of Mt. Morris; 1 daughter, Karen of Tenn.; 3 grandchildren; 1 brother Ralph of Leicester; 2 sisters Opal Turner of Colorado; and Vera Morgan of Florida.

Friends called Tuesday at the Brown-Drowne Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree St., Livonia where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30. The Rev. George Davis officiating.

Interment at Harder Cemetery, Livonia NY.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Main St. Geneseo NY.
