Lloyd B. Colegrove of School Rd., Springwater, died Wednesday July 23, 1975 in Noyes Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 82.
A native of Springwater, Mr. Colegrove had lived in this area his entire life. He was a self-employed farmer. He was a life member of the Springwater Rod and Gun Club and a member of the Springwater Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Colegrove; a son, Leo of Springwater, a daughter, Mrs. Alva Schramm of Palatka, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Harris of Rochester and Mrs. Gladys Brisbane of Lima; a brother, Earl of Avon Park, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon at the Springwater Methodist Church by the Rev. Douglas Beasley.
Burial was in Covered Bridge Cemetery, Springwater, with arrangements by the St. George Stanton Funeral Home of Wayland.
A former rural school teacher, Mrs. Blanche R. Colegrove, 88, of School St., Springwater died Friday Aug. 15, 1975 in Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville.
A native of the Springwater area, she was also a licensed practical nurse. She was a graduate of the North Cohocton teachers’ training school and the former Geneseo Normal School. She had taught in Springwater area rural schools.
She was a member of the Springwater American Legion Auxiliary, the Springwater Grange, the Springwater United Methodist Church and its women’s organization.
Surviving are a son, Leo of Springwater; a daughter, Mrs. Avia Schramm of Palatke, Fla. a sister, Mrs. Gordon Gibson of Wayland; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Monday in the Springwater United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Covered Bridge Cemetery, Springwater.
