Springwater - Mrs. Alice M. Curtice, widow of Charles F. Curtice, of Springwater, died unexpectedly following a heart attack early Saturday morning, January 26th, 1935, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Schwab, on East Hill at the age of 75.
Mrs. Curtice was the daughter of Harlow and Lydia Colegrove and was born in Canadice on August 29, 1859. She was of a family of seven children, four sons and three daughters, two daughters dying at the ages of five and nine years. Her oldest brother, Orrin Colegrove, also preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Charles F. Curtice on June 20, 1880. Mr. Curtice passed away on November 30, 1914.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Curtice is survived by three brothers, Elmer Colegrove and Charles Colegrove, both of Canadice and Jotham Colegrove of Rochester, and one grandson, Curtice Schwab of Rochester.
She had lived in Canadice and Springwater all her life, with the exception of three years, when she was a resident of Romeo, Mich.
Funeral services were conducted from the home on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with burial in Mt. Vernon - Evergreen cemetery in Springwater. The Rev. John L. Conklin, pastor of the Advent Christian church of Springwater, officiated.
