The Obituary of Aaron E. Kimbel

4 May 1861 - 25 July 1938

Aaron L. Kimbel, well known and respected resident of Wayland and vicinity for his life-time of 77 years, died at his home on East Avenue Monday, after a short illness.

Born in this community on May 4, 1861, he was the son of Sylvester and Lydia Shutt Kimbel. He had lived in this village for fourteen years following his retirement from farm work.

He is survived by one son, Ray of Groveland; four sisters, Mrs. Anetta Smith, Dansville, Mrs. Rosetti Crooks, Bristol, Mrs. Carrie Jacobs and Mrs. Mary Clayton of Rochester; three brothers, Herman of Lockport and Jay and Austin of Wayland; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 this afternoon and at the First Evangelical church at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. E. W. Bittner officiating.

Burial will be in the Carney Hollow Cemetery.
