The Obituary of Nixson McCrossen

1834 - March 1901

From the Livonia Gazette, 15 March 1901

Hemlock - Nixon McCrossen, for years a highly respected resident of this village, died at Pittsford one day last week.

The remains were brought here Monday and the funeral services were held from he Methodist church at 12 o’clock, the Rev. Mr. Spencer of Pistsford officiating.

The burial was at Canadice.

Hemlock - Mrs. Nixon McCrossen died at her residence at Hemlock lake Wednesday morning, after a brief illness.

Mrs. McCrossen had lived at Hemlock lake for a number of years.

She leaves a husband and one son, Wilbur of West Branch, Mich.

The funeral will be held from the house today at 1 o’clock.
