The Obituary of Dudley M. Reed

From the Livonia Gazette, 18 January 1884.

The funeral of Dudley W. Reed of Richmond, who died last Friday morning, was held from his late residence on Monday, the Rev. Asa Saxe of Rochester officiating. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends, many coming from a distance.

The Rev. Mr. Chambers of Bath was present at the funeral of Dudley Reed on Monday.

The family of the late Dudley Reed desire to return sincere thanks to their friends for the many kindnesses shown during the sickness and after the death of Mr. Reed.

Richmond - As briefly announced last week, Mrs. Anna S. Reed died at her home in this town, Thursday July 1st, after a lingering illness of several months.

She was a kind and loving mother. Her heart was open to all in need of sympathy and her hand always ready to allay any suffering which came to her notice. She will be greatly missed in this community and the heartfelt sympathy of all is extended to her family and friends.
