Gertrude Rix formerly of Hemlock died March 8, 1985 in Cheektowaga, NY.

She was born Aug. 26, 1894, the daughter of George and Lisa Sherift Rix.

Prior to retirement she was a school teacher in Hemlock and Amherst High School. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by many cousins and many dear friends, including Mrs. Frances Florkowski of Cheektowaga and Mrs. Jane Rummings of Buffalo.

Graveside services will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater at a later date. Arrangements are by Brown-Drowne Funeral Home, Livonia.
