School #12 in Hemlock NY in 1883

Located at Glenville on South Main Street

The building was built in 1883 at Glenville, one mile south of Hemlock village at Rix Hill road. It was originally designated as School House #3 but was changed to #12 circa 1900. It was used as a school house until 1911 when districts 4 and 12 were joined into the Union School at the village of Hemlock. The building was used as a private residence for a time but was dismantled in 1946.
