School #4 Springwater NY

At Tabors Corners, Springwater NY

Joint District with Canadice NY

Livonia Gazette

22 May 1952

by A Former Teacher

The people of District No. 4, Canadice, as I recall, were law abiding, industrious and friendly. The district extended into the town of Richmond, taking in the farm of Charley Curtiss, where George Cratsley now lives.

Many pupils from district No. 4 lived useful and successful lives. Some of there are: Ace Ganung, men’s furnishings store in Livonia; Lewis Hoppough, merchant in Hemlock; Lloyd Barrett, jeweler in Dansville; Thomas Costello, veterinarian; Anna White, a successful teacher in New York City, and others in different walks of life.
