The Springwater Bicentennial Committee and the Springwater Fire Department have joined forces to present the Fall Festival on Saturday, September 24, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Springwater Fire Hall at 8145 South Main Street.
The event commences with an antique or classic car, tractor, truck, motorcycle and hot rod parade at 1 p.m. Youngsters are also welcome to decorate their bikes and become part of the parade. Parade will leave the fire hall, proceed north to Depot and turn right to School Street to the Larry Canute Memorial Park, make a sweep into the park, and exit from the park on Mill Street to South Main Street, and finish back at the fire hall where prizes will be awarded for best motorized types of vehicles and best bicycle entries. Anyone who wants to enter in the parade is asked to contact Tom Canute, Sr. at 669-2429 as soon as possible.
The day’s events will include: a petting zoo, music, food and drinks for $1, balloons from 2 to 3 p.m., games, hayrides, and a bonfire. There’s also space for non-profit organizations to set up; contact Tom Canute for further information and to reserve your space.
