The funeral of Horace Barber of Springwater, was held from the Advent Christian Church on Saturday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Jackson officiating.
Mr. Barber was one of the oldest residents of Springwater having been a blacksmith in the town for a long time.
He died last Thursday night. He leaves a wife, one son, Spencer, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Harris.

Mrs. Eliza A. Barber, 95, widow of Horace Barber, and a former resident of Springwater, died Saturday in Rochester, after an illness of eleven years. Born in Springwater on December 2, 1844, she had been a life-time resident of the town until failing health forced her to give up her home here. Her death occurred on her ninety fifth birthday.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louie B. Harris of Holley; a brother, Eugene Sanford of Alanson, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Van Horn of Alanson; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the funeral home of H. & M. Ludwig in Springwater at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Interment was in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery, Springwater.
