Mrs. Maud Benedict died very suddenly Friday, the 17th, at her home in Buffalo. She was born in Canadice in the house now occupied by her brother, E. B. Henry, in August 1884 and lived among us, making many friends, until she grew to womanhood. Her parents, Clark and Eliza Henry, then moved to Springwater, where she married Oscar Benedict.
The remains were brought to her brother’s Saturday. Besides her husband she leaves two young children, a girl and a boy; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Eldridge of Canadice and Mrs. Scott Bush of Atlanta; four brothers, Eugene of Canadice, Charles of Canandaigua, and Fred and George. The funeral was held Sunday at the church. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
