The Obituary of Wiley J. Capron

From the Wayland Register, 15 January 1959.

Wilely J. Capron, 52, died unexpectedly on Jan. 10, 1959, at his home in Hohokus, N.J.

He was born in Wayland on June 16, 1906, a son of Wiley and Sally Wintersmith Capron, and was a graduate of Wayland High School and Hamilton College where he was a member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity. Mr. Capron was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hohokus and had been associated with the New York Telephone Co. since 1927.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Minarsch of Baltimore and Ann Jean at home; three brothers, Wilbur of New York, Theodore J. and Charles H. of Wayland; a niece and a nephew.

Services were held at Hohokus on Tuesday. The body arrived in Wayland Wednesday and was removed to the vault in Village Cemetery by Allen Funeral Services. A prayer and committal services were held at 12:45 p.m., the Rev. Roger F. Williams officiating. Bearers were J. Robert Scott, Schuyler Pratt, Martin Kimmel, Alvie J. Engel and Homer Bennett.
