Francis S. Fisher, 85, of School St. in Springwater died Monday (May 9, 1983) in Noyes Memorial Hospital following a bried illness.
A native and life resident of Springwater, he owned and operated a trucking business for many years, retiring in 1965. Mr. Fisher was a member of the Springwater United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Fishbeck of Plymouth, Mich., Mrs. Betty Widner of Conesus, Mrs. Cora Mae May of Livonia and Mrs. Lucille Davenport of Avon; a son, Roy of Neshanic Station, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Benson of Silver Lake, Mrs. Grace Holmes of Springwater and Miss Winifred Fisher of Buffalo; three brothers, Kenneth of Springwater and Claude and Arthur of Florida; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, Wayland. The Rev. George Cushman will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater.

Mrs. Doris E. Fisher, 85, of Springwater died Sunday (Feb. 13, 1983) in the Livingston County Health Facility following a long illness.
She was a native and life resident of Springwater. She was a member of the Springwater United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Springwater Rebekahs.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Fishbeck of Plymouth, Mich., Mrs. Betty Widner of Conesus, Mrs. Cora Mae May of Livonia and Mrs. Lucille Davenport of Avon; a son, Roy Fisher of Neshanic, N.J.; a brother, Harold Spencer of Springwater; three sisters, Ann Shafer of Freeville, Helen Harter of Dansville and Dorothy Powers of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted in the Springwater Methodist Church on Wednesday. Burial was in Covered Bridge Cemetery, Springwater. Arrangements were by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home of Wayland.
