Grover William Francisco, 85, of Naples, died Feb. 9, 1943, at the home of his son, Herbert Francisco, near the Italy-Naples County Line. He was overcome by smoke when his house in Naples burned Sunday night a week ago.
Mr. Francisco was born in Canadice on July 25, 1857. On October 8, 1876, he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Josephine Green, a native of Avoca.
Mr. and Mrs. Francisco resided in Atlanta for several years, and he worked at the carpenter’s trade. From Atlanta they moved to Prattsburg and took up farming. They moved to Naples about 25 years ago.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Herbert Francisco, of Naples; one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Roloson, of Prattsburg; two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in Prattsburg cemetery.
Prattsburg - William Francisco, 85, passed away at the home of his son, Herbert, in Naples, February 9, following a short illness of pneumonia. It is believed that smoke inhaled from the fire which destroyed his home Sunday night brought on the illness.
Mr. Francisco was born July 25, 1857, in the town of Canadice. He spent his working years in Ingleside as a carpenter. About 20 years ago he retired and moved to Naples.
Mr. and Mrs. Francisco celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on October 8, 1942.
Surviving besides his wife, is a son, Herbert, of Naples, and a daughter, Mrs. Lou Roloson, of Prattsburg.
The funeral was held at the Emery Funeral Home in Naples, Saturday, at 2 o’clock, with Rev. D. M. Ratcliff of the Naples Baptist Church officiating, with burial in the Prattsburg Rural Cemetery.

Naples - Mrs. Emma Josephine Francisco, 87, died in the home of her daugther, Mrs. Lewis Roloson of Prattsburg yesterday Jan. 10, 1949 after a long illness.
She was born in the Town of Avoca on June 30, 1861, and had passed most of her life in Naples, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Besides the daughter she leaves a son, Herbert Francisco of Naples.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Emory Funeral Home in Naples with the Rev. Darius Ratcliffe officiating. Burial in Prattsburg Rural Cemetery.
Naples - Mrs. Emma Josephine Francisco, 87, died on Monday, January 10, 1949, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lou Roloson, in Prattsburg, where she had gone to spend the winter. She had been in failing health for some time. She was a member of the Naples Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Francisco was born on June 30, 1860, in the Town of Avoca, a daughter of Pelina Andrus and John R. Green.
On October 18, 1876, she was united in marriage with G. William Francisco; he died February 9, 1943. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Roloson, and a son, Herbert Francisco, of Naples.
Services will be held from the Emory funeral home, Wednesday, January 12, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. D. M. Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be made in Prattsburgh Rural cemetery.
Prattsburg - Mrs. Emma Josephine Francisco, 86, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 10, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lou Roloson, after a long period of ill health.
Born in Avoca, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Green, she lived in Avoca and Atlanta, and for many years on the place now owned by William Forth on the Naples Road, and many years in Naples. In early life she married George Francisco, who died in Naples several years ago. Since his death she has made home with her son, Herbert, in Naples, and her daughter here.
Beside the son, Herbert, and daughter, Minnie Roloson, she is survived by two grandchildren, Mrs. Howard Lawrence of Spencerport, and Mrs. Otto Weaton of Lent Hill.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Emery Funeral Home in Naples, the Rev. D. M. Radcliff, a former neighbor of Mrs. Francisco, officiated. Interment was in the Prattsburg Rural Cemetery.
