Horace Gordon, a lifelong resident of this village died very suddenly Monday forenoon of heart trouble while walking in his yard.
He leaves his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Frank Harvey of Sparta, Mrs. William Washburn and Mrs. Allen Proctor of this place, Mrs. Ira Curtiss of Conesus and a son Ray Gordon of this village.

Mrs. Althea Spencer Gorden, widow of Horace Gorden of this village, died at Wayland hospital Friday morning after a few days illness, from erysipelas. Mrs. Gorden was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elizer Spencer, and was 78 years old. She is survived by one son, with whom she made her home, and four daughters, Mrs. Frank Harvey, Mrs. Wm. Washburn, Mrs. Ira Curtis, Mrs. Alfred Proctor, all of this town; three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Gannon of Conesus, Mrs. Wm. Henry of Nunda, Mrs. Sarah Proctor of Rochester; one brother, Herman Spencer of Rochester, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at her son’s Monday at 2 p. m., the Rev. and Mrs. Conklin of the Advent Christian church, of this village, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Evergreen cemetery of this village.
