Funeral services were held Saturday at the Brown Funeral Home, Livonia, for Flora Mabel Harder of Hemlock who died at the Sheehan Nursing Home in Lima on Thursday, May 12, 1960, after a short illness. The Rev. Paul Sandin, pastor of the Hemlock Baptist Church, officiated at the service with interment to be in the Harder Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Miss Harder was born Jan. 5, 1873, the eldest daughter of Mary Adelaide Turner Harder and George W. Harder, at the home on Marrowback Rd. where she resided all her life.
She was a member of the Hemlock Baptist Church for more than 60 years, and for 37 years served as treasurer of that church. She was keenly interested in Baptist missions and for many years served as chairman of the missionary work in the church.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Theodore Henry; three nephews, Ira Burnell and Leonard Briggs, all of Hemlock. Miss Harder had made her home with the latter, Leonard, in recent years.
