Hemlock - Grant Harvey of Hemlock died in Strong Memorial hospital, in Rochester, Monday afternoon. He was born in Mansfield NY on July 29, 1865, the son of Isaac and Mary Eddy Harvey, but had resided in Hemlock for the past thirty-nine years, where for thirty years he had been in the employ of the City of Rochester.
Besides his wife, Florence Crout Harvey, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clair Wingate of Livonia, Mrs. Burnell Brigs of Hemlock and Mrs. Frank Flood of Richmond; five sons, Harold of Conesus, Clayton, Cecil and Alfred of Hemlock, and Albert of Livonia Center; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Hawkins of East Otto; and fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home in Hemlock this Thursday afternoon at 2:30, with burial in Union cemetery.

Hemlock - Mrs. Florence Harvey of Hemlock, widow of Grant Harvey, died from a heart attack last Monday, Feb. 5, 1951, following a 5-year period of failing health. Mrs. Harvey appeared to be as well as usual when her children visited her Sunday night. One of her daughters, Mrs. Clair Wingate, tried unsuccessfully to get her on the phone about 10 o’clock Monday morning, and also about quarter of 12. When Mrs. Harvey’s son, Alfred, reached home at noon, he found his mother, who has succumbed following a fall.
Mrs. Harvey was born in Beaver Dams, Schuyler County, NY, Sept. 23, 1878, a daughter of Frank and Alice Van DerWarka. She was married Dec. 31, 1893 and the family lived for a time in Cattaraugus county, moving to Hemlock 47 years ago. Mr. Harvey died Sept. 7, 1942.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Clair Wingate (Ruby), Mrs. Burnell Briggs (Alice) and Mrs. Harry Gray (Pauline); 5 sons, Harold, Clayton, Cecil, Albert and Alfred; two brothers, Clarence Crout of Billingham, Wash., and Glen of West Henrietta; 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and will be held at 2:30 today, the Rev. W. J. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
