The Obituary of Jacob Jackson

From the Livonia Gazette, 11 April 1902

Jake Jackson, an old resident of Hemlock, was found dead in his bed about 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon by M. W. Scidmore, who went to the house, on the shore of the lake to return a boat he had borrowed. Death resulted from heart disease. The remains were brought to the undertaking rooms of Mr. Gross Wednesday night, and the funeral services will be held from there this forenoon at half-past 10, under the auspices of the Grand Army post. Mr. Jackson was about 75 years old and had lived at Hemlock nearly all his life.
