Philip Miller, age 71 years, passed away at his home in Carney Hollow after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, two half sisters, Mrs. Charles Cork and Mrs. Frank Marvin of Springwater, two daughters, Mrs. Austin Kimbel of Carney Hollow, Mrs. Walter Smith of Union Corners and a son Ralph Miller of Dansville.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home, Monday July 9th at 2 p.m., the Rev. Fred J. Hessler officiating. Burial at Carney Hollow cemetery.

Mrs. Clara Miller of 32 Perine St. passed away Thursday night, August 24, at Dansville Memorial Hospital after an illness of four months. She was 84 years old.
A lifelong resident of Dansville, she was a member of the Evangelical Church of Wayland.
She is survived by one son, Ralph Miller of Dansville; two daughters, Mrs. Austin Kimbel of Carney Hollow and Mrs. Walter Smith of Union Corners; two brothers, Edward Lawrence of Wayland and Frank Lawrence of Carney Hollow; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Wilson-Chamberlin Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Carl VanderBurg of Dansville officiating. Interment was in Carney Hollow Cemetery.

Carl M. VanderBurg, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial in Carney Hollow Cemetery.
Pall bearers were all grandsons of the deceased: Carl Miller, Millard Kimbel, Alton Kimbel, Earl Morrison, Aubrey Shaver, Leonard Neuz.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Evangelical Church of Wayland and the Weld Bible Society.
She was born in Carney Hollow, September 29, 1865 and had lived her entire life in this area.
Survivors are a son, Ralph Miller of Dansville; two daughters, Mrs. Austin Kimbel of Carney Hollow and Mrs. Walter Smith of Union Corners; two brothers, Ed Lawrence of Wayland and Frank Carney of Carney Hollow; also 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
