Raymond E. Rodes of Railroad Ave., Conesus passed away at the Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, Thursday, June 2, 1977.
He was born in Hope Kansas, Jan. 12, 1890, the son of Levi and Minnie Russell Rodes. He came to Livonia from Hope in 1896 and lived on Commercial St. Livonia previous to moving to Conesus. He was a member of the United Church of Conesus and a member of the choir of that church, also a member of the Conesus Fire Department.
His wife Jessie Salter Rodes predeceased him in 1969. Mr. Rodes was employed by the Bernhardt Lumber Company in Hemlock as a builder and carpenter for some time. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 5, at the Lakeview Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Arnold Cemetery. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the United Church of Conesus.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1969 for Jessie S. Rodes, who died in Dansville. Sept. 20, 1969.
Mrs. Rodes was born in Canadice, Mar. 13, 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Salter.
She was a member of the Conesus Community Church.
She is survived by her husband. Raymond E. Rodes; one cousin; several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Elsa Marsland officiated with interment in Arnold Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Brown Funeral Home. 20 Washington St. Livonia.
