Wayland - Dale Shaver died at Wayland Hospital Tuesday May 1 after a long illness. He was 76 years old.
Born in East Wayland, he was engaged in farming in Wayland for many years. Since last November he made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Brown of East Naples St., Wayland.
Survivors in addition to his daughter, include a son, Aubrey Shaver; a sister, Mrs. Wm. Lawrence and a half-sister, Mrs. William Treat all of Wayland; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The interment was in East Wayland cemetery.

Wayland - Mrs. Dale Shaver, 68, the former Cora Walker, died yesterday (Jan. 27, 1950) after several weeks illness in her home in Buffalo St.
She leaves her husband, Dale; a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Brown of Cohocton; a son, Aubrey of Wayland; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Leon Harvey.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Weld Bible Class and the Gleiners Class, and Wayland Grange.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the home, with the Rev. Oliver Gesell officiating. Burial will be in East Wayland Cemetery.
