Hazel, daughter of Herman Struble, died at her home on Tuesday at the age of 9 years and 7 months. She was a frail girl and was taken with the grip about two weeks ago, which resulted in her death.
About three years ago her mother died and since that time she has mothered her younger sister, Dorothy, keeping her from dangers and showing wonderful thought for a child so young.
She leaves her sister and father to mourn for her. The funeral was held at the house on Thursday at twelve o’clock with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Hazel, the little daughter of Herman Struble, died at her father’s home last week. Her age was 9 years. She had never been a well child. Her mother died nearly four years ago. Beside her father, one sister, Dorothy, is left.
The funeral was held from the home, the Rev. Mr. Brown of Springwater speaking words of comfort to the mourning friends.
The burial was in Springwater cemetery near the Christian church.
Hazel May, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Struble died very suddenly Tuesday evening, March 11 at the home of her father. She was nearly ten years of age. The cause of her death was tuberculosis of which disease her mother and a sister did about five years ago. She leaves her father and a sister Dorothy. Hazel was unusually bright and thoughtful and she will be sadly missed in her home.
