Canadice - Noah Struble was born in Newton, Sussex County, NJ, March 1st, 1816, and died June 26th, 1880, aged sixty-four years. At an early age Brother Struble removed with his parents to the town of Canadice, where he afterward married and resided until 1839, when he moved with his family to Elk County, PA. After a residence of twenty-one years in Pennsylvania he removed to Illinois, where he spent a year, and then returned to Canadice, where he has ever since lived. Brother Struble was regarded by his neighbors as a kind, considerate and upright Christian man. None knew him but to love and respect him. For more than forty years he was an active member of the Methodist Church, and during later life held important offices of trust. His fidelity to the Church of his choice was seen in that he frequently walked fifteen miles to attend religious service. The God who had been his comfort in health did not forsake him in death. He peacefully passed away to the enjoyment of the rest remaining for the people of God.
