A Biography of Wealthy Capron Sylla De La Matyr From the Lockport Daily Journal, 9 July 1880. The bride of Congressman De La Matyr was formerly, says the Albany Express, Miss Wealthy Capron, of Alegany, N.Y. While teaching in Illinois she married Prof. James B. Sylla, who died a few years after. Since 1867 Mrs. Sylla, now Mrs. De La Matyr, has been teaching in the Brockport Normal School, and was known as a faithful and efficient instructor. |
