Howard W. VanScooter, 67, of 6994 White Road, Webster Crossing, died Wednesday (June 20, 1990) at his home.
Born Nov. 30, 1922 in Conesus, he was a son of Scott and Bertha Howard VanScooter.
A life-long resident of Webster Crossing, he was a former employee of the Progressive Foundries in Livonia and the Town of Conesus Highway Department.
An honorary member of the Conesus American Legion Post, he was a member of the Perry Moose Club.
Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Stone of Geneseo, Cora Young of Webster Crossing and Ruth McAfee of York; two brothers, Clifford and James, both of Webster Crossing; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service was conducted Saturday at the Walter E. Baird and Sons Funeral Home in Wayland with Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. Burial was in Erwin Cemetery, Springwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family memorial fund in care of Cora Young, Webster Crossing, or the Springwater Volunteer Ambulance Fund.
