61st Anniversary of Samuel Collins and Mary Crossett By Unknown Author - Valley News 24 June 1954 Hemlock - Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Collins celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary June 18th at the home of their daughter Mrs. Ralph Paul in East Bloomfield. Miss Mary Crossett and Samuel Collins were married June 18, 1893 in Springwater NY by Rev. William Dyne of the Presbyterian Church. Most of their married life has been spent in the area of Livonia and Springwater where he engaged in farming until retirement several years ago. Both are in comparatively good health, Mr. Collins is 85 and spends much of his time reading while Mrs. Collins, who is 80, enjoys the television and aids with housework. They have five children, Mrs. Paul, Mrs. Donald Rogers of Buffalo NY, Mrs. Howard Beach of Livonia Center NY, and Earl and George Collins, both of Hemlock NY; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
