Canadice - William Cronin, an old resident of this place, died at a hospital in Rochester last Friday at the age of 63.
Mr. Cronin and his twin brother, John, came to Canadice from England when they were 14 years of age. Mr. Cronin remained here after he came across, engaged, most of the time, in farming until a year or so ago, when he moved to Honeoye.
Of a family of five boys and two girls he was the last survivor, all of his brothers and sisters, as well as his parents, dying before they reached the age he attained.
He and his brother John were splendid singers and added to the enjoyment of many gatherings by their music. After John was gone his brother sang whenever called upon.
Will, as he was called by all, will be missed by many, for he was well known here.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mabel, of Rochester, with whom he and Mrs. Cronin had gone to spend the winter.
The funeral was held at Honeoye last Sunday and the burial was in Lakeview cemetery.
