Canadice - After weeks of poor health and suffering, Mr. Simeon Struble, on Monday last, calmly and peacefully closed his eyes to all earthly scenes and is now remembered with those whose “spirit is returned to God, who gave it.”
Mr. Struble was noted for his integrity and his kind heart, and was always helpful to those in need. He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters, to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father.
The funeral was held from his late residence, the Rev. Mr. Brown preaching from Second Corinthians, fifth chapter and first verse. The congregation was large and in full sympathy with the mourners. Truly a good man has fallen.
Canadice - Simeon Struble died the 19th ult. of kidney trouble, aged 64 years. His funeral service was held at his lte home and his remains buried in Mt. Vernon Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater.
Mr. Struble was an example of industry and economy. He worked b the month for eighteen years saving $1,800, up to the time he was married. From that beginning he has amassed a large property in real estate.
Dr. Henry Struble, of Ovid, Seneca County, was here in attendance at his brother’s funeral, and spent a few days visiting friends.

Canadice - Mrs. Hopey Struble died at the home of her son, Adelbert, on Saturday, aged 68 years. The cause of death was apoplexy. The members of the family were away from home and on their return found Mrs. Struble dead. The funeral was held from the house on Tuesday at 10:30 o’clock. She leaves three sons, John of Livonia, Adelbert and Herman; and one daughter, Mrs. William Cronin, all of this place. Mrs. Struble was a sister of the late Makelvous Huff of Richmond NY.
Canadice - Mrs. Hopey Struble died very suddenly at her home in this town last Saturday night. She was the widow of Simeon Struble, who died about eleven years ago. Three sons and one daughter are left to mourn for a patient, loving mother.
Mrs. Hopey E. Huff Struble was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springwater NY.
