News was received Sunday of the death of Thomas Doolittle of Naples at the age of 71 years. Mr. Doolittle was the youngest son of the late Wilson and Caroline Thorpe Doolittle and was born in Canadice and lived here until after his marriage to Miss Jennie Kingsley, also of Canadice, after which they moved to Naples.
He is survived by Mrs. Doolittle; two daughters, Mildred of Naples and Mrs. Pauline Seward of Buffalo; two sons, LaVerne of Naples and Glenn of Syracuse; several grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Norget of Henreietta, Mrs. A. M. Blake of Naples and Mrs. John West of Conesus and one brother, Elmer Doolittle of Rochester.
The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon with interment in Rose Ridge cemetery, Naples.
The sympathy of their friends in Canadice is extended to the bereaved family.

Mrs. Jennie Kingsley Doolittle, 83, widow of Thomas W. Doolittle, of Naples, died September 8, 1954, in Wayland. She was born in Canadice NY on October 2, 1870.
She leaves two daughters Miss Mildred Doolittle, of Rochester, and Mrs. Pauline Seward, of Wayland; two sons, LaVerne Doolittle, of Naples, and Glenn Doolittle, of Syracuse; one brother, Fred Kingsley, of Honeoye; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Allen funeral home, in Naples, where services will be held Friday, September 10, at 2:30 p.m., Rev Harold Wood of Wayland officiating. Burial will be made in Rose Ridge cemetery, in Naples.
