Springwater - Walter Robert Fairbrother, 76, a native of Cohocton, died yesterday (July 12, 1962) in the Highland Hospital, Rochester.
Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth; two daughters, Mrs. Norman DeRoo of Rochester and Mrs. Dewey Northrup of Tully; 4 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Ackley of Elmira; one brother, Ernest of Naples.
He was a member of Bath Presbyterian Church, Bath Masonic Lodge; Exempts Springwater firemen and had belonged to National Guard, Co. K. of Hornell. He had been an employee of Bell Telehone Co., the Cannon Manufacturing Co. Springwater, and a house father at the State School of Industry.
Calling hours at the home will be from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Masonic services will be held there at 8 p.m. today. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home. Rev. Howard Warriner will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater.

A funeral service was conducted yesterday morning in Wayland for Mrs. Elizabeth Fairbrother, 82, who died Sunday (Jan. 25, 1976) in Auburn Memorial Hospital.
She was a former Springwater resident.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pearl DeRoo of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Loraine Northrup of Tully; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater.
