Hemlock - George Hoppough died Friday at the age of 71 at his home here, following an illness of four years.
Mr. Hoppough was born in Canadice and resided there for several years before coming to Hemlock.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie J. Hoppough, and one sister, Mrs. Fanny Coykendall of Lima, and several nephews and nieces.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist church last Sunday at 2:30 and the Rev. Mr. Sanderson officiated. Interment was made in the family lot at Union cemetery.

Hemlock - Mrs. Lillis Barnard Hoppough, wife of the late George Hoppough, died at her home in Hemlock last Monday, her seventy-third birthday. She had been ill only a few weeks.
Mrs. Hoppough was the daughter of Lillis and Benton Barnard and was born in the town of Livonia where she had lived most of her life. She is survived by one brother, Robert P. Barnard, of Nokomis. ILL., who was with her at the time of her death, also several nieces and nephews. Two other brothers, Melvin and Solon S. Barnard, died several years ago.
The funeral was held from the Hemlock Methodist church, of which Mrs. Hoppough was a member Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock, the Rev. G. H. Nelson officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery, Livonia.
Mrs. Hoppough was a loyal member of the W. C. T. U.
Robert P. Barnard of Nokomis. ILL., was called here a couple of weeks ago by the serious illness of his sister. Mrs. Lillis Hoppough who has since died. Mr. Barnard is staying with his cousin. Mrs. Pitts Barnard.
