Hemlock - Mrs. Sarah Hoppough, widow of Horace P. Hoppough, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank E. Coykendall of Lima, Thursday evening of last week, after a long illness. Her age was 80 years.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pulver and was born in the town of Canadice. She had always lived in this vicinity.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frank E. Coykendall of Lima, and a son, George Hoppough of this village, a sister, Mrs. Coykendall of Rochester, and several grandchildren.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church.
Mrs. Hoppough had lived in Hemlock the greater part of her life and was a woman with hosts of friends. The death of Mr. and Mrs. Hoppough takes from our community a man and woman who had always been identified with the town’s best interests. Two old landmarks have been taken away.
