Honeoye NY - Fred A. Kingsley died unexpectedly today (Oct. 19, 1957) in his home here.
He leaves his wife, Elna Caskey Kingsley; three daughters, Gladys of Sonyea, Mrs. Donald Conklin of East Bloomfield and Mrs. Paul Abbey of Rochester; a son, Everett L. Kingsley of Lima; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at his home, a service will be conducted in Honeoye Congregational Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Canadice Cemetery. Contribution may be made in his memory to the memorial fund of the Honeoye Congregational Church. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Brown Funeral Home.
Canadice friends were grieved to learn of the death Saturday morning of Fred A. Kingsley of Honeoye, after an illness of only three days.
Mr. Kingsley was one, and the last survivor, of seven children of the late Addison and Adeline Kingsley, a well-known and respected Canadice family for many years.
He was born June 28, 1873, on the town line road between Canadice and Springwater where his early life was pasted. He was a farmer in town for several years, later living in Victor and Richmond, where he also engaged in farming.
On Jan. 17, 1900, he was united in marriage with Miss Elna Caskey, also of Canadice, who survives, with one son, Everett Kingsley of Lima; three daughters, Miss Gladys of Sonyea, Mrs. Donald (Doris) Conklin of East Bloomfield, Mrs. Paul (Iolene) Abbey of Rochester; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, Leslie, died in infancy, and a son, Floyd, died a few years ago.
For the past five years Mr. Kingsley had been a faithful custodian of the Honeoye Congregational Church, where his funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon. A nephew, Rev. Walter Kingsley, and Rev. P. L. Graham officiated. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Honeoye.

Mrs. Elna C. Kingsley of East Bloomfield, a native of the town of Canadice, died Monday, June 19, 1961, in Thompson Memorial Hospital, Canandaigua, the day after she was admitted as a patient. She had been in poor health for a number of years, and a bed patient for the past six months.
She was born in the town of Canadice Feb. 23, 1880, and lived in the town of Richmond until the death of her husband, Fred Kingsley, three years ago. She was a member of the Allen’s Hill Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Everett of Lima; three daughters, Gladys of Sonyea, Mrs. Donald Conklin of East Bloomfield, and Mrs. Paul Abbey of Rochester; two brothers, willard Caskey of Honeoye and Earl Caskey of Honeoye Falls; one sister, Mrs. Lemon Mastin of Honeoye; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be held today, Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 20 Washington St., Livonia. Her nephew, the Rev. Walter Kingsley, pastor of the Akron Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Honeoye.
