A longtime Dansville artist and painter, Ralph H. Miller of 28 Clay St., Dansville, died Monday evening (Feb. 10, 1975) in Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville, following a brief illness. He was 83.
Born in Springwater, Mr. Miller lived in Dansville for 50 years. He was a retired sign painter and also created many oil and water color paintings mostly of pastoral scenes. He once wrote and illustrated a “Comic History of Dansville.”
Surviving are his wife, Hilda; a son, Carl of Rochester; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Morrison of Groveland, Mrs. Marilyn Allen of Mt. Morris and Mrs. Carol Rowley of Springwater; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the Chamberlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Springwater.

Dansville - A former Dansville beautician, Mrs. Hilda R. Miller, 81, died Saturday (Oct. 1, 1977) in Wyoming Community Hospital, Warsaw.
Mrs. Miller had formerly resided at 28 Clay St. here and had been a patient in the Livingston County Infirmary in Geneseo since 1972.
The widow of Ralph Miller, she had been employed as a beauty shop operator for more than 35 years and was co-owner of the Elite Beauty Shop in Dansville before her retirement.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Strait of Hornell and Mrs. Mildred Dillenbeck of Dansville; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Faye Bradley of Myrtle Beach, S. C. ; and two grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said Monday in St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. Funeral arrangements were by the Chamberlin Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Mount Cemetery here.
