Last Wednesday night occurred the death of James Naracong at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Orville Child. Mr. Naracong had been in poor health for some time.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Naracong, four daughters, Mrs. Harry King of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Orville Child, Mrs. S. P. Hoppough and Mrs. Eva Connor of Hemlock and two sons, B. A. of Hemlock and Frank of Spencerport; also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral was private and was held from the home of Mrs. Child Friday at 1 p.m. The Rev. G. H. Nelson officiated.
Interment was made in Livonia cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Naracong passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. P. Hoppough about 8:30 Friday morning, Oct 28. She had been failing for some time and had been confined to the bed for about six weeks.
She was born in the town of Canandaigua October 4, 1840 and was the mother of seven children, six of whom survive; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Woodruff, having passed away several years ago. There are two sons: B. A. Naracong of Hemlock, Frank J. Naracong of Spencerport, four daughters: Mrs. Ellen Child of Hemlock, Mrs. Elizabeth King of Sarasota Fla., Mrs. Carrie Hoppough and Mrs. Eva Connor of Hemlock; eighteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Naracong had been a member of the Hemlock Methodist church for a great many years.
The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Hoppough Sunday at 2 p.m., the Rev. G. H. Nelson, her pastor, officiating.
Burial was made in Union cemetery at Livonia. The beautiful flowers were a silent tribute to the esteem in which “Grandma Naracong”, as she was familiarly called by friends and neighbors, was held. We shall all miss her happy smile and cheery word.
