William M. Struble died at his home in Canadice last Friday morning, after an illness of but three days. He had been repairing his barns and on Tuesday, after having worked in the rain, was taken with chills, and the disease rapidly developed into inflammation of the bowels. His age was nearly 68 years.
William Struble was one of the most prominent men of his town, and we hazard nothing in saying that no man in Canadice had more or warmer friends. Of genial disposition and generous impulses, it was always a pleasure to meet and converse with him, and his death is sincerely mourned by many outside of his family and relatives. His whole life was an honorable and useful one, and he left an example of industry and integrity that will not be forgotten. He was active in church work, and an appeal for any worthy object found him read to contribute of his time and means.
The funeral was held Sunday, the Rev. Mr. Smith, his pastor, officiating, and the whole town turned out to do the last honors to a man eminently deserving of them.
William M. Sturble was buried in the Canadice Hollow cemetery.
