Canadice NY - News was received Sunday of the death of Harry J. Thomas at his home in Rochester, where he had been ill for several months.
Mr. Thomas was a former resident of Canadice having come here from Hornell when a young man and residing here until 1917. He married Miss Nellie Franciscon of Canadice, who died in 1900. They were the parents of three children all of whom died while quite young.
Mr. Thomas later married Miss Louise Cork of Springwater, who died several years ago. The funeral was held in Rochester Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Minnie Louise Cork Thomas, wife of Harry J. Thomas, passed away at her home, 551 Magee Ave., Rochester, Tuesday morning February 28th, of Hodgkins disease after an illness of only a few months.
Although the best of medical skill was sought it proved of no benefit and she quietly passed away a the time above mentioned.
Mrs. Thomas was the oldest daughter of the late Joseph and Luthera Loveland Cork and was born at Wayland, August 22d, 1881.
On March 26th, 1919 she was married to Harry J. Thomas of Rochester, where they have since resided.
Besides her husband, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Anna Ingraham of Springwater; two brothers, Fred Cork of Springwater and Lester Cork of Canadice; three nephews, Harold Cork of Dansville, Byron Cork and Kenneth Ingraham of Springwater, and one niece, Miss Hazel Cork, of Springwater.
Funeral services were held at her home Thursday afternoon, March 1st, at 1 o’clock, Rev. C. S. Tubby, assisted by Rev. Ivan Spencer, officiating.
Rev. Benjamin Baur sang very beautifully “Where the Gates Swing Outward Never”.
The remains were brought to Mt. Vernon Evergreen cemetery, Springwater, for interment, Rev. Spencer conducting the services at the cemetery.
Those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. James Cavanaugh, Mrs. Charles Godfrey, Mrs. J. A. Loveland and son, Harry, and Mrs. and Mrs. Fred Hinkel of Cohocton, Mrs. Murray Loveland, son Walter, and daughter, Mrs. Edwin Mehlenbacher, of Wayland.
