Allan (Johnnie) Walker, 79, of Springwater died Wednesday (July 13, 1988) in Noyes Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born June 26, 1909, a son of Erwin and Maude Smart Walker, he was a native and life resident of Springwater.
He was employed at the Woodcroftery Shops in Wayland, retiring in 1973.
Mr. Walker was a life member of the Springwater Fire Department and a life member of the Springwater Rod and Gun Club. He was a member of the Springwater United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Georgia; a daughter, Alma Jean Jenson, and a son, James, both of Springwater; three grandsons; four brothers, Kenneth of Englewood, Fla., Bruce, Burl and Erwin, all of Wayland; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon in the Springwater United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Porter and the Rev. Sheila Swanger officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater, with arrangements by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home in Wayland.

Georgia A. Walker, 74, of Springwater died Tuesday (Sept. 13, 1988) in Noyes Memorial Hospital.
Born July 30, 1914, in Springwater, a daughter of Jasper and Ellen Miner, she was married to Johnnie Walker.
A life resident of the Springwater area, she was a graduate of Geneseo Normal School and taught in many rural schools in the Springwater-Wayland area. She later was employed at the C.F. Cannon Co. of Springwater.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the Springwater United Methodist Church and of American Legion Auxiliary 905. She was a past member of the Springwater Fire Department Auxiliary, Springwater Grange and Springwater Snowmobile Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Alma Jean Jensen of Springwater; a son, James of Springwater; three grandsons, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Friday in the Springwater United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Porter officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater, with arrangements by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home of Wayland.
