Livonia - Edward Wemett of 50 Comfort Street, Rochester, brother of Mrs. O. W. Locke of Livonia, died of cerebral hemorrhage in the Genesee Hospital, Rochester, Sunday morning, Oct. 27. Although he had been seriously ill last winter, he had been feeling fine all through the summer and until taken ill on Saturday night. He died three hours after being moved to the hospital.
Mr. Wemett was born in Hemlock, July 27,1884, the son of Harvey and Ida Trimmer Wemett. He came with the family to Livonia as a lad of 13, where he made his home until about 30 years ago. After moving to Rochester, he became car inspector for the Erie railroad, from which position he was retired last spring.
He was married July 27, 1903, to Stella Tracy of Canandaigua, a sister of Michael Tracy of Livonia.
Besides his wife, Stella Tracy Wemett, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Bolger of Rochester, Mrs. Leo Lane of Wayland; a son, Garnard L., of Rochester; a sister, Mrs. O.W. Locke of Livonia, and five grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) at the Frick Funeral home, Rochester, with burial in Union Cemetery, Livonia.
