Harvey W. Wemett died very suddenly on New Year’s day in Hemlock, where he had gone on business.
Mr. Wemett was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Wemett and was born in Canadice January 8, 1851. Later the family moved to Hemlock, and fifty-two years ago Mr. Wemett, was married to Ida M. Trimmer of that village. Thirty years ago he moved to Livonia, where he has resided since. At the time of his death he was constable of the town of Livonia, superintendent of highways, and deputy sheriff, having filled the last-named office for the past forty-four years.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. O. W. Locke of Livonia; one son, Edward of Rochester, and several grandchildren. The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Mr. Vaughn officiating, with burial in Union cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of the Odd Fellows.

Mrs. Ida Trimmer Wemett, 84, of Livonia, widow of Harvey W. Wemett, died early Friday morning at her home on Lower Big Tree street. She suffered a shock Monday evening from which she never regained consciousness.
Mrs. Wemett was the daughter of Edward and Ellen Potter Trimmer and was born in the town of Richmond. She was married to Mr. Wemett of Hemlock July 4, 1874. The couple moved to Livonia forty-three years ago and had always lived in the house on Big Tree stree. Mr. Wemett died in January, 1927.
Funeral services were held from the late home at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, the Rev. A. M. Griffing, pastor of the Livonia Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in Union cemetery, Livonia.
Mrs. Wemett is survived by one daughter, Mrs. O. W. Locke, of Livonia and one son, Edward, of Rochester; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two other daughters, Mrs. Wm. Hoppough of Hemlock and Mrs. Lewis Schneck of Rochester, died some time ago.
Mrs. Wemett was a member of the Hemlock Methodist church, but active in the foreign missionary society of the Livonia Methodist church in her earlier years, and assisted in the ladies’ activities of the church.
