Canadice - Arthur Ace of Honeoye, who for several years lived in this community and was well known here, died in Thompson Memorial hospital early Saturday morning. His age was 78. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble for several years and suffered another attack a few days ago and was removed to the hospital on Thursday.
Mr. Ace was born in Pennsylvania and was one of a family of 13 children. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Bayless Ace, and six sons, Leon of Rochester, Elmer and Woodrow of Honeoye, James of Lima, Ora of Canadice and Harold of California; three daughters. Mrs. Edna Treble of Honeoye, Mrs. Margaret Briggs of Conesus and Mrs. Mabel Coykendall of Hemlock; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edna Mallaber of Mt. Morris; two brothers, Charles and Sherman Ace of Pennsylvania; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Judson of Elmira.
The funeral was held in Honeoye Congregational church Tuesday afternoon, with interment in Lakeview cemetery, Honeoye.

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Ace, who passed away on Apr. 28 in a Rochester hospital after a long illness, were held at her late home in Honeoye village on Wednesday, May 2, at 2 p.m.
Officiating were the Rev. Ernest Reimer of Scottsville, former Hemlock Baptist pastor, and the Rev. Robert Lacker, present Baptist pastor.
Mrs. Ace survived her late husband, Arthur S. Ace, by only a few months. Mr. and Mrs. Ace lived most of their life in and near Honeoye, retiring a few years ago from their farm in Canadice.
She was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Craig Scott of Wilkes Barre, Pa., and spent the early years of her life in Ashley, Pa. where she was active in church choir work.
In 1911 she came to New York State with her husband and family and had lived in this vicinity for 40 years.
Mrs. Ace is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Edna Mallaber of Nunda, Mrs. Margaret Briggs and Mrs. Mabel Coykendall, both of Hemlock; 4 sons, James of Lima, Ora of Canadice, Woodrow of Honeoye and Harold of Oakland, Calif.; 3 step-children, Mrs. Edna Treble and Elmer Ace of Honeoye, and Leon Ace of Rochester; 3 sisters, Mrs. Roger Kirkhuff, Mrs. Thomas Norman and Mrs. Ralph Cameron; 2 brothers, Frank and James Scott, all of Wilkes Barre, Pa.; 28 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
