The Obituary of George W. Bailey

13 December 1833 - 3 January 1900

From the Cohocton Index, 10 January 1900.

Springwater - George Bailey, a highly respected citizen of this town, who has been suffering with kidney desease for a long time past died at the home of his son-in-law E. Robinson, on Center street, this village, Wednesday morning last, at the age of 65 years.

The funeral services were held at his home in the northern part of the town on Sunday at 12 o’clock. Rev. J. W. Miller officiating. Interment in the Mt. Vernon Evergreen cemetery.

From the Ontario Messenger, 26 April 1900.

The funeral of Mrs. Bailey was held at the house on the town line between Canadice and Springwater, Monday, at 2 o’clock. She was the widow of George Bailey who died in January. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Shell Robinson and Mrs. Eben Robinson of Springwater Valley. Her age was about 65.
