Canadice - Jay F. Becker, 88, of County Road 37, died September 21 at Thompson Memorial Hospital in Canandaigua after a long illness.

A Canadice native, at the time of his death he was the oldest living resident born here. He was highway superintendent for 40 years. He was a member of the Honeoye Grange, Canadice United Methodist Church and a life member of Ontario County Highway Association. He also was a full time farmer.

Surviving are two sons, Raymond and Truman, both of Canadice; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A prayer service was held in the Canadice United Methodist Church with burial in the Canadice Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadice United Methodist Church.

Canadice - Mrs. Lena Wright Becker, 82, of Canadice died in her home Monday, Oct. 20, 1969. She was the sister of Merle Wright of Dansville.

Mrs. Becker was a member of the Grange. She was a graduate of Genesee Wesleyan Seminary School of Music and was a charter member of the Canadice United Methodist Church.

Also surviving are her husband, Jay F. Becker; two sons, Raymond E. and Truman J., both of Canadice; four grand-children, three great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Canadice United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. today. A prayer service will be conducted in the family home at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Canadice Church Cemetery.

Canadice - Mrs. Becker passed away at her home on October, 20, 1969. She made her home on County Road No. 37, Canadice, New York with her husband Jay F. Becker.

She is also survived by two sons, Raymond E. and Truman J. both of Canadice; one brother Mearle Wright of Dansville; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Friends are invited to call at the family home where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Canadice United Methodist Church, Rev. Thomas officiating.

Interment, Canadice Cemetery, arrangements by the Brown Funeral Home.
