The Obituary of Gladys Walker Loveland

1900 - 10 August 1924

From the Wayland Register, 21 August 1924

Mrs. Gladys Walker Loveland, whose marriage to Harley Loveland took place Saturday, August 9th, and who was on her wedding trip, died suddenly Sunday morning at 3 o’clock at a Dunkirk hospital of acute dilation of the heart. Mrs. Loveland was taken ill on Thursday and was taken to the hospital, where it was thought she was getting along well and would be able to return home on Monday. She was taken suddenly worse, however, and her death took place as stated.

Mrs. Loveland was the only daughter of Mrs. Erwin Walker and was 23 years of age. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by eight brothers - Alex, Ward, Allen, Lemuel, Kenneth, Berl, Bruce and Erwin. The husband and members of the family have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement.

Mrs. Loveland was a well known and popular young lady and will be greatly missed in the home and community.

The funeral will be held at the home this afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Mr. Fulcomer of this village and Rev. Mr. Fisher of Dansville officiating. Burial will be in the Ashley cemetery.
